Village Hall History
The new Village Hall construction was completed by Kier on the 9th March 2015, they've done an excellent job. It was handed over to the developers, Bovis/Linden, who offered it to the Parish Council at the end of April 2015.
It took some time to sort out the legalities but the Parish Council completed on the 16th June 2016, taking ownership of our new Village Hall. The Village Hall opened for bookings on the 3rd September 2016, using volunteers in the village and resources from this web site to run the Village Hall, while the final bits of a Lease were completed.
For the Upper Rissington Village Hall Trust, who had their first meeting back in August 2014, to take over running of the Village Hall, a Lease agreement between the Parish Council and the URVH Trust had to be drawn up. This took some time to complete but it was hoped that the documents would all be signed by the end of April 2017 and the URVH Trust to take over running of the Village Hall, on the 1st June 2017.
The URVH Trust finally took over running of the village hall on behalf of our Community, on the 2nd June 2017.

The hall is designed around a central Foyer and serves the Village through the following areas:
- Main Hall with storage facilities
- Community Room and Foyer
- Kitchen
- Male and Female toilets and changing rooms
- Disabled toilet and changing room
- External Patio space

All these areas are modern in appearance, well lit and are enhanced through double glazing, and underfloor heating.
